What’s ACTION ACADEMY?

Action Academy is our 10 week Summer internship program for college-aged people to learn more about voting history in America. During the summer, we meet twice a week, learn together in state crews, and do action together. You may be able to get college credits too!

What’s the curriculum?

  • democracy ideals + foundational pillars of voting rights

  • movement learning + movement work

  • mis/disinformation in modern democracies

How do I apply?

  • We open applications on FEb 1st every year

  • The application window is open for 2 months

How we do it

During the summer, we embark on a 10-week virtual journey on Zoom examining the historiography of voting rights in America. Our focus extends to understanding the systems that both expand and erode the democratic process.

And the best part? Participants earn a $1,000 stipend!
